About Kip Pratt

 

Kip has worked in Devon for over 20 years as a freelance musician and music teacher.

 

He spent 7 years teaching music at Teignmouth Community College and Broadhempston Primary School, followed by 5 years as Music Lead with Devon Music Service.

 

During this time he led and facilitated many innovative projects, including the tour of Cuban Salsa band Asere, Singing Games in the South Hams, Schooldays Composing project for YR9 and composition projects with KS1 children in Dartmouth.

 

He was also a team member for the Devon Schools MIX festival. Kip currently teaches wider opportunities and curriculum music in a number of Devon schools and runs the Wider Opportunities programme in Teignmouth.

 

He also works as a visiting lecturer in music education for Plymouth University.  He plays violin and ukulele and dabbles in guitar and piano.
